Offered a voucher for McDonald's for breakfast. Only down sides were out of the control of the hotel and not real big deals they were redoing the parking lot so parking was tight and the noise in the morning was disturbing and the location makes going anywhere difficult, can only turn right out of parking lot. James, at the front desk, was polite and professional. The Best Western staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, comfortable, and easily accessible by elevator for older persons. We were amazed how quiet it was at night, considering the hotel's location on a main thoroughfare. Have a great day. The hotel rents part of the small pool to a swim school. From am, one child was screaming the whole time. From am the other sibling was literally screaming the whole time. That's to be expected - to have some scared kids crying during swim lessons.

The main reason we stayed at Best Western was for the pool with our kids. We didn't expect to hear non-stop screaming or have a whole audience just watching. We had to walk right past them and they sat 1 foot from the entry to the hot tub and pool. We called ahead of time to confirm if the pool and hot tub were available. No one said anything about limited facilities. Nothing was said when we checked in and asked about pool hours. We saw a about a swim school, and wondered if it was a Best Western offering, or figured it might be on slow days between checkout and checkin 11am-3pm.

In regard to breakfast, the reason we have been unable to re-open is simply due to lack of staffing. As soon as we can find a breakfast attendant, we can and will establish an on-site breakfast. No breakfast served even though it says free breakfast. We are doing the best we can in these difficult times to open all of our amenities again with such short staffing. We have had to implicate a new policy base on our history during this pandemic. However, we do ensure that we notify out guests prior to their arrival to ensure they are prepared for this updated policy. We hope you will keep us in mind for next time so you can see how great our full breakfast is once we open it.

The hotel is clean and comfortable, but the room decor looks rather dated. They really should either remodel the room or drop the "Plus" from the name of the hotel. Due to the Covid pandemic the advertised buffet breakfast was not offered and we were offered coupons for a free breakfast at the McDonald's across the street. The food was barely edible and I strong suggest that you not bother accepting that offer.

Unfortunately there are no good breakfast options in the immediate neighborhood. We are doing the best we can to ensure we provide a decent option in the mean time and we are hoping to open our breakfast buffet soon. We have recently remodeled our property and everything within our rooms are less thatn two years old, I would love to hear more about any issues you did have during your stay so we can take immediate action and ensure that anything not up to standards is taken care of as soon as possible.

Northwinds Plus is a smaller but efficient, well maintained BW property with an indoor pool and well equipped, clean fitness center. The owner treats his staff well and it shows - they are well above the norm professionally and willingness to accommodate. We do the best we can to ensure all of our guests enjoye their stay here and we pride ourselves in giving each one of our guests a comfortable and welcoming experience during their stay.

I had a plumbing emergency and needed to stay in a motel for one night. Since I'm a Best Western member, I went online to reserve a room.

The reservation was complete when I got a phone call from the location. Needless to say, I cancelled the reservation and booked a room in a different motel. We would love to hear from you so we can ensure you understand where we are coming from by having this current house policy in place.

Within the last year and especially since the pandemic has surfaced, we have had countless disputes, fraud and credit card issues when trying to get compensation for damages in our rooms. This has caused us to create a CASH only deposit as CASH cannot be disputed through a bank and can ensure that if there are damages to the room, there are valid funds to cover it.

Ever since we have implemented this CASH deposit policy, all damages, fraud, etc We truly hope you understand that this is nothing personal and we do this simply for the safety of our property and our guests staying with us.

We hope you will reconsider and visit us again as we are doing the very best we can during these difficult times to ensure all of our guests have a wonderful and safe stay with us. I booked this hotel for a one night stay to be closer to the Portland VA Hospital as I had an early morning appointment.

It was booked through Expedia and I received a conformation stating that a deposit MAY be charged. This hotel needs to be upfront about this deposit and not leave it as a surprise. Will not be back and will not recommend. We do our best to let guests know ahead of time by sending out this confirmation, calling and leaving a voic or calling and speaking with them directly.

We are making several changes on a daily basis to ensure that we are doing everything we can to keep our guests happy, safe and healthy. We truly hope you will reconsider and stay with us again. Slept better than I do at home. Very little outside noise.

Little problem with the de of the drapes. They do not offer privacy. I will definitely stay here next time I come to visit family on the area. We do the best we can to make each one of our guests feel comfortable and valued! I am so sorry to hear that you had issues with our drapes! Our drapes have three different layers. The first is decorative, the second is sheer and the last ones, closest to the window are black out curtains but they have a tendency to get pushed back where you can't see them!

Really it was a good stay while our house was getting remodeled. I was able to work from home just fine at this hotel. The staff is the best! They are very accomodating and helpful, exceeds expectations. The hotel i inside and out is maintained well. The rooms are decorated nicel, always clean and the beds are very comfortable. We are there almost every month and don't stay any where else. We do the very best we can to provide a great experience for all of our guests. We truly hope you will continue to stay with and never hesitate to let us know if you need anything.

I've stayed in this hotel twice now and will definitely consider it for the future. The family rooms are a great way for everyone to have enough room while not paying the cost of two separate rooms. My only complaint is that the pool area is noy open yet for guests, which can be understandable in these times
